BABY ROOT CANAL
The dental treatment your child received may have involved root canal therapy on one or multiple teeth. This process entails extracting a portion of or the entire “nerve.” Following the treatment, your child might experience some sensitivity. If this happens, you can administer an over-the-counter pain reliever like Children's Motrin or Tylenol. Teeth treated with pulpotomy should naturally resorb like regular baby teeth, although they might dissolve more quickly on occasion. During your child's routine check-up appointments, we may take periodic x-rays to monitor the progress of these baby teeth.
