  • The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a child's first dental check-up to be no later than age one, with semi-annual check-ups for most children. Some children need more frequent dental visits because of increased risk of tooth decay, unusual growth patterns, or poor oral hygiene.

  • Since every child is unique, the need for dental X-rays varies from child to child. In general, children need X-rays more often than adults, because their mouths grow and change rapidly, and they are more susceptible than adults to tooth decay.

  • If your child has one or more cavities, tooth-colored dental fillings can help restore both the function and appearance of their teeth. Our composite fillings are made of dental resin, which can be matched precisely to your child's natural tooth color.

We use only top-quality materials to repair damaged teeth and ensure that your child receives the highest level of care possible when it comes to treating cavities.

  • In cases where your child's tooth has a large, deep cavity, a pulpotomy procedure may be necessary. Sometimes referred to as a "baby root canal," this treatment involves opening up the tooth, removing the decayed nerve, and applying a protective covering to restore and safeguard the tooth's pulp.

Following the pulpotomy procedure, your child's tooth will be repaired with a crown and restored to a healthy condition. This treatment can help prevent the need for more extensive and costly dental procedures in the future, ensuring that your child can maintain a healthy smile for years to come.

  • We always prioritize preserving your child's natural teeth whenever possible. However, in some instances, extraction may be the best course of action, such as when there's inadequate tooth structure to place a crown, or if a tooth is infected due to an untreated cavity or tooth trauma.

We offer sedation options to ensure your child's extraction procedure is comfortable and pain-free. Typically, recovery lasts between 3-7 days, with complete healing taking anywhere from 2-4 weeks. On the first day after treatment, your child should avoid actions that might dislodge the blood clot, such as spitting or using a straw. A diet consisting of soft foods is also recommended during this period. We will provide you with comprehensive instructions to support your child's recovery and promote proper healing.

  • Sealants are a clear protective coating designed to shield teeth from cavities. Studies show that, if retained, sealants can reduce the risk of cavities by 80-90% after application. This is a preventive treatment that's painless and an easy way to help protect teeth from sugar bugs!

  • We offer minimally inhaled sedation, commonly known as "laughing gas," as a safe and effective way to minimize anxiety and fear during dental treatment. This colorless and odorless gas creates a feeling of happiness and euphoria when inhaled, helping to create a safe and comfortable environment for children during their dental visit.

Laughing gas is the lowest level of sedation and is not intended to make your child sleepy or put them to sleep. Instead, it’s designed to calm your child, reduce anxiety, and help reduce gag reflex. Our dentists will monitor the gas levels throughout your child's treatment to ensure their safety.

Once treatment is complete, we administer 100% oxygen, and the effects of laughing gas wear off in about 5 minutes. This means that your child can return to their regular daily routine immediately after their appointment without any lingering side effects.

  • If your child experiences heightened anxiety in a dental setting, or has a significant amount of dental work that cannot be accomplished with local anesthetic and nitrous oxide, IV sedation or general anesthesia may be the preferred treatment.

We can guarantee a safe and effective treatment with the aid of our highly trained anesthesiologists who provide IV sedation or general anesthesia. Their primary responsibility is to ensure your child is properly sedated and monitored, allowing our dental team to focus entirely on delivering top-quality dental care.

  • Let's get those teeth in formation! Guidance of eruption and development of the teeth and jaws are integral to each child's dental visit. The goal is to develop a stable bite that is both functional and aesthetically acceptable.

Early diagnosis and successful treatment of developing malocclusions can have short- and long-term benefits while achieving proper function and aesthetics. Children may have two phases of orthodontic treatment depending on your child's conditions.

    FIRST PHASE
The first phase usually occurs around 8-10 years old, or sometimes sooner. This phase helps correct problems such as crossbite or severe crowding, preventing bigger issues once all adult teeth have erupted.

    SECOND PHASE
The second phase usually occurs once all adult teeth have erupted.
