LOCAL ANESTHETIC

Your little one received a local anesthetic injection to numb their teeth during the dental procedure. The numbing effect will last for about 2-3 hours, causing your child's mouth to feel "asleep." Keep an eye on them to ensure they don't bite their tongue, cheek, or lip accidentally. Some children might feel uneasy due to the unusual sensation in their mouth. Comfort them by explaining that their teeth will "wake up" and the odd feeling will soon pass. It's best to avoid eating until the numbness subsides, but if your child is hungry, you can offer them something that doesn't require chewing, such as ice cream, a smoothie, or yogurt.
